Q&A: Miscellaneous

Q:
We believe that we are seeing Satellites orbiting as we are stargazing. How can we know which satellites they are? How can we get information on the orbits of satellites, i.e. whether they move east to west or whatever?

A:
Refer to http://chandra.harvard.edu/about/tracking.html , a special article on tracking Chandra using MSFC's J-Track 3D--an exciting, three dimensional version of their real-time tracking software (java enhanced). You may also view other crafts, such as the Space Station, various satellites, shuttle, etc.
