What is the most distant object Chandra can see, and what type of object is it?

A:
The most distant objects detected by Chandra so far are quasars. The X-rays we see from these objects left the objects about 13 billion years ago, when then age of the universe was a little over a billion years, and was about one-sixth of its present size.
