During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned. Chandra passed through the second, third, and fourth eclipses of the season on Jul 1, 4, and 6 respectively, with nominal power and thermal performance. Real-time procedures were executed on Jul 2 and 4 to clear a glitch counter that incremented during the eclipse exits on Jul 1 and 4. The counter increment is expected under certain timing and thermal conditions. An aspect camera dark current calibration was performed from the on-board loads on Jul 6. An assessment of the data is underway. A real-time procedure was executed on Jul 8 to perform a routine self-check of the Electrical Interface Assembly (EIA) Sequencer. Of note last week was the Cycle 18 Peer Review held in Boston, Jun 27-Jul 1. The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes an observation of SgrA* coordinated with Spitzer. |
