During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as
planned.
A real-time procedure was completed on 17 Jun to uplink the corrected software patch to modify the Stored Command Sequences (SCS) 107 and 84. The patch provides the capability to transition to Normal Sun Mode (NSM) following execution of the Science Instrument safing actions (SCS 107) in response to a high radiation event. The capability will be used to ensure a favorable thermal attitude for cases when stopping the loads would violate a new propulsion line thermal constraint. A second realtime procedure was completed on Jun 17 to update the onboard ephemeris. Of note this week was the successful completion of the Cycle 7 Peer Review held in Boston, Jun 21-23. The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes observations of M81 coordinated with ground observations. |
