During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned. Chandra passed through the second, third, and fourth eclipses of the season on Jul 10, 13, and 15 respectively, with nominal power and thermal performance. Of note this week was the announcement on Jul 16 of the Cycle 17 Peer Review recommended programs. For details see: http://cxc.harvard.edu/target_lists/cycle17/index.html The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below, and includes observations of V404Cyg, a peer-reviewed Target of Opportunity approved on Jul 2 and coordinated with VLA, an observation of MWC656 coordinated with VLA, and an observation of PDS 456 coordinated with NuSTAR: |
