Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 23 May 2014 8.00am EDT

During the last week the observing schedule was replanned to incorporate an observation of GRB 140516A, which was accepted as a Target of Opportunity on May 16. A planned observation of 3C 220.3 was impacted by the replan and will be rescheduled in a future week.

A real-time procedure was completed on May 22 to update the Control Processing Electronics (CPE) software to include a zero-value yaw bias. This temporary update is part of the plan for the 2014 Cameloparalids meteor shower, which peaks May 23-24. Contingency plans are in place for the shower to minimize the body and solar-array exposure to the meteor flux under a range of safing conditions.

The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes an observation of GRB140515A, which was accepted as a Director's Discretionary Time TOO on May 20.
