During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as
planned.
A real-time procedure was completed on September 17 to update the on-board ephemeris. A Chandra image release was issued on 14 September of the galaxy cluster Hydra A. The multiwavelength image provides evidence for powerful outbursts from the supermassive black hole in the galaxy at the center of the cluster. For further details see: http://chandra.harvard.edu/photo/2009/hydra/ The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes a TOO observation of the source IGR J17511-3057. |
