During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as
planned.
Real-time procedures were performed on Jun 11 to enable and activate SCS 29 and to set the short eclipse flag to "true" in preparation for the first eclipse of the 2008 summer eclipse season on Jun 12. The season consists of 10 eclipses and ends on Jul 6. Chandra passed through the first eclipse of the season on Jun 12 with nominal power and thermal performance. A real-time procedure was conducted on Jun 13 to set the short eclipse flag to "false" in prepartion of the remaining medium duration eclipses of the season. Preparations are complete for the Cycle 10 peer review to be held in Boston next week. The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes an observation of Gl 570D coordinated with the VLA. |
