During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as
planned.
A Chandra press release was issued on 28 Apr describing observations of 13 globular clusters that indicate that these objects may be surprisingly less mature in their development than previously thought. For further details see: http://chandra.harvard.edu/press/08_releases/press_042808.html Of note last week was the presentation on Apr 23 by the Chandra team to the Astrophysics Division Senior Review for Operating Missions. Results of the review are expected to be announced in June-July. The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes observations of Sgr A* coordinated with the VLT. |
