Happy New Year from the Chandra team.
During the last two weeks Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned. Chandra passed through the six eclipses of the 2007/2008 Winter season between Dec 21 and Jan 3 with nominal power and thermal performance. The spacecraft was configured in the medium eclipse mode for all the eclipses. Following the final eclipse on Jan 3, a real-time procedure was completed on Jan 4 to disable SCS 29. A real-time procedure was completed on Dec 21 to dump OBC-A memory as a follow-up to the Radmon K-constant patch that was uploaded on Dec 18 in support of the EPHIN detector G high voltage turn-off. The dump will be used to update the baseline memory image maintained on the ground. The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below. |
