Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 24 November 2006 9.00am EDT

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

Of note last week was the approval by the Flight Director Board to decrease the Aspect Camera CCD set point from -15 deg C to -20 deg C. The decrease will offset the gradual increase in warm pixels seen in the Aspect Camera CCD as the mission progresses. The lower set point will improve image centroiding, improve star acquisition success and reduce the risk of stars being dropped due to nearby warm pixels.

The schedule of targets for next week is shown below and includes a DDT observation of the source RBS1774 (1RXS J214303).
