Friday 8 September 2023 9.00am EDT
During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned. Preparations were completed for the fall 2023 eclipse season; the season contains 25 eclipses and runs from Sep 4 to Nov 6. Real-time procedures were executed on Sep 2 to prepare for the first eclipse: one to activate SCS 29 and one to dump and clear the EPS glitch counters. Chandra passed through the 1st and 2nd eclipses of the season on Sep 4 and 6, with nominal power and thermal performance. Real-time procedures were executed on Sep 6 to perform a routine self-check of the Electrical Interface Assembly (EIA) Sequencer and to perform a diagnostic dump of the Control Processing Electronics (CPE). The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below. |
