During the last week the observing schedule was replanned to remove observations of TW Hya because the planned coordination with HST was not possible due to the safe mode entry of HST. These observations will be rescheduled in a future week. A real-time procedure was executed on Mar 8 with an initial step to disable Thermal Primary Operational Bus 6. This will allow an assessment of the thermal benefit of turning off the associated heaters and indicate whether a permanent disable is appropriate. The real-time procedure is expected to be completed on Mar 13 when Bus 6 will be reenabled. A Chandra press release was issued on Mar 9 describing observations of the redshift 5.8 radio-loud quasar PJ352-15. Chandra data shows evidence for the most distant known X-ray emitting jet. This jet would extend about 160,000 light years and be composed of energetic particles powered by magnetic fields. This result may help explain how the biggest black holes formed so quickly.
