Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 20 September 2019 9.00am EDT

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

Real-time procedures were executed on Sep 13 to turn off gyros A1 and B2 and SPE-B in order to reduce the temperature of the IRU baseplates. These units had been activated on Sep 7 to evaluate gyro performance. Real-time procedures were executed Sep 16 to perform full-frame dark current readouts of the Aspect Camera Assembly CCD.

Of note this week was the release on Sep 13 of CALDB 4.8.4.1. This update includes corrections to ACIS time-dependent gain corrections for the period May 2019 through Sep 2019. For details see: http://cxc.cfa.harvard.edu/caldb4/downloads/Release_notes/CALDB_v4.8.4.1.html.
