Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 26 July 2019 9.00am EDT

On July 23, we celebrated the 20th anniversary of Chandra's launch and 20 years of successful scientific operations. The spacecraft and instruments continue to operate superbly well and we look forward with excitement to the coming year of science discovery!

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

Real-time procedures were executed on July 19, July 22, and July 25 to perform full-frame dark current readouts of the Aspect Camera Assembly CCD.

The schedule of targets for the next week is shown below and includes an observation of Gaia18dvy, which is a Target of Opportunity accepted on July 16.
