Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 5 August 2011 9.00am EDT

During the last week the observing schedule was interrupted by a high radiation event that stopped the daily load at 03:03am EDT on Aug 4 and activated the science instrument safing sequence (SCS 107). All spacecraft actions were nominal. A real-time procedure was executed on Aug 4 disable SCS-29, which was enabled during the safing sequence.

A real-time procedure was executed on Aug 3 to perform a routine self-check of the Electrical Interface Assembly (EIA) Sequencer. A second real-time procedure was executed on Aug 4 to update the on-board ephemeris.

Of note this week was the "2011 X-ray Astronomy School" held in Cambridge, MA Aug 1-5, followed by a CIAO Workshop on Aug 6.

Assuming the radiation environment is low enough to resume science observations later today, the schedule of targets for the next week is shown below.
