Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 27 September 2002 9.00am EDT

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

Of note last week was the approval by the Flight Director Board of the promotion to operations of a new Guide Star catalog. The catalog provides improved color and position information, and will result in an increased availability of acquisition and guide stars during the scheduling of observations.

The observing schedule for next week is shown below and includes an observation of Capella coordinated with XMM-Newton and a series of observations of 47 Tucanae coordinated with the Hubble Space Telescope.
