Operations CXO Status Report

Monday 5 June 2000 10.00am EDT

During the last week, Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

A routine real-time procedure was completed on 5/29 to dump the CPE warm start counter and showed no change in value (1).

A momentum auto-unloading event was performed by Chandra for the first time on 6/1/00 at 1:19pm EDT. Momentum unloading is normally predicted and performed via stored commands from the daily load, so the auto-unload was unexpected. The unloading was near perigee where a gravity gradient torque larger than predicted is suspected. The auto-unloading proceeded nominally.

The planned observations for the coming week are as follows.
