Operations CXO Status Report

Friday 2 June 2006 9.00am EDT

During the last week Chandra completed the observing schedule as planned.

A real-time procedure was executed on 2 June to perform a routine self-check of the Electrical Interface Assembly (EIA) Sequencer.

A Chandra press release was issued on June 1 describing a long observation that has revealed important new details of a neutron star that is ejecting a wake of high-energy particles as it moves rapidly through space. For details see: http://chandra.harvard.edu/press/06_releases/press_060106.html

The schedule of targets for next week is shown below and includes an observation of M81 coordinated with HST and the VLA, and of M31 coordinated with XMM.
